We were lucky enough to get funding for a free 6-week pottery course for those with disabilities. Local people who need a little extra assistance with the process of creating fun things with clay.
During our first 6-week pottery course we taught slab building and pinch pots, and everyone experimented with under glazes and glazes to create unique pieces. Here are some of the beautiful pieces created by them.

The culmination of this course will have the participants pottery being displayed, and potentially sold, at the Matariki Star Glaze Festival in Ōtaki. We are all heading there on Saturday for a supported day trip. It should be an enjoyable day.
