So, as you know we don't normally work with Plaster of Paris! But I'm having so much fun playing with it I want to share that fun with you!

We had planned on running some Plaster of Paris painting sessions, but there's been a lot of interest in the process of actually making pieces. We are offering you a chance to come and pour your own! This workshop is child friendly, with adult supervision.

It will be priced per jug of plaster $20 per jug and we will mix some up to show u just how much plaster you will get. You can use any of the hundreds of Molds we have to create your own pieces!

Sunday 7th December 1-2pm $20pp.

We will also have some pre-made pieces available for you all to paint, price ranging from $5 per item.

NOTE: During the workshop you will need to quickly pour your items before the plaster dries. Staff will get you sorted and give direction at the beginning and will be available to assist. Items usually take 45mins to dry, give or take depending on the size of the Mold used.

We have some aprons available, but we suggest you bring something if you're not confident. You can get plaster of Paris out of clothing by scraping off the excess, soaking the item in water, and then washing it in a hot cycle with laundry detergent

Processing Time: After your workshop your pieces will need to dry for approximately 2 weeks before painting.

    Customer Feedback

I found the owner to be really knowledgeable and the quality of the items available to paint top knotch. I've done Foundation Vis Arts at UCOL and was a member of the Whanganui potters club years ago and its obvious that the people at Splatter are experts.

I went here today with my Dad! We had so much fun. We only wanted to have a look and ended up staying for over two and a half hours! The staff are so kind and welcoming. Best pottery painting I’ve ever been too! Really reasonable pricing too. Highly recommend and will be back!
