I have been having so much fun working on my tiny flowers bouquets that I wanted to share the fun with you all.

There are quite a few stages to making these bouquets.

Making the flowers out of clay, then they need to dry and be bisque fired. We move onto painting and glazing the flowers. Then they need to be glaze fired and finally we wire the stems and arrange them. This whole process takes several weeks and is split into multiple sessions. The two weeks between allow us to see the items have time to dry and get fired in our kiln.

First session "Making" 6-7pm Wednesday 29th October

Second session "Painting" 6-7pm Wednesday 12th November

Third session "Arranging" 6-7pm Wednesday 26th November

The Painting and Arranging workshops can be taken as separate standalone workshops using premade flowers. Follow these links if you are interested.

Painting Session

Arranging Session

Processing Time: After your workshop your pieces will need to dry for 2 weeks before being bisque fired, (Note: in the "Making" session, care should be taken to ensure the flowers are not overly large or thick as this can affect drying times.)

    Customer Feedback

I found the owner to be really knowledgeable and the quality of the items available to paint top knotch. I've done Foundation Vis Arts at UCOL and was a member of the Whanganui potters club years ago and its obvious that the people at Splatter are experts.

I went here today with my Dad! We had so much fun. We only wanted to have a look and ended up staying for over two and a half hours! The staff are so kind and welcoming. Best pottery painting I’ve ever been too! Really reasonable pricing too. Highly recommend and will be back!
